Why Did It Take So Long to Get a Psyren Anime?
People often search for “why is there no Psyren anime?” and “why was Psyren canceled?” Let’s clarify that the manga was not cut short; it ran for nearly three years and reached a proper conclusion across 16 volumes.
The reasons for the delay in an anime adaptation are the usual ones: the series garnered a loyal cult following rather than achieving the massive popularity of Jump‘s biggest hits, and studio production committees often decide on adaptations years after the original series has ended.
No official reason for the delay was ever made public, so the most accurate answer is simply that the right moment arrived in 2025–2026.
